New Town Gwadar is known as the heart of the Gwadar because it is in the center of Business City Gwadar in Mekran region, Baluchistan. Its foundation was built in 1986 by the Govt of Baluchistan. Initially, this Housing Scheme was merely introduced for local people of Baluchistan who are known as “Balochi “.The plots have been distributed on very easy installments in favor of Balochi people to facilitate them with their national rights and bring their standard of life up.

Before 2006 market price of plots in phase1 & 2 was 500 sq/yd (R) = 12.5 lacs and 1000 sq/yd (R) = 25 lacs, for phase 3 & 4 was 500 sq/yd (R) = 10 lacs and 1000 sq/yd (R) = 13 lacs

500 sq/yd commercial is about 25 lakhs and 1000 sq/yd commercial is about 45-lac, Phase 1 hold same prices for the plots
