Defense Housing Authority Islamabad or DHA Islamabad is spread over 97,000 of Kanals or 50 Sq.Km which is really a big property project. DHA Islamabad was developed to mainly serve the defense persons related to the Pakistan Armed Forces. DHA Islamabad has two Phases, Phase I and Phase II, both are fully developed but Phase I is has most population and located around the Defense Road.

DHA Islamabad is located on GT Road of Rawalpindi and this makes the name DHA Islamabad somewhat controversial, and to clarify, DHA renamed its Islamabad Project as DHA Phase I and DHA Phase II. Rawat is located at 4 KM away from DHA Islamabad Phase II.
