Kasur is the headquarters of Kasur District, Pakistan. Border to the north by Lahore, is adjacent to the Indo-Pak border, which makes it a major point of attraction for tourists. Kasur is the city of Baba Bulleh Shah RA. It is also famous for being a birth place of legend Noor Jahan (famous Pakistani singer). Kasur is famous for its very spicy fish, and a sweet dish called “Andrassay”. Falooda and Kasuri methi are also its famous foods. The name of city is known for being based on the name of “Kasu”, the son of King Ram, who was later named Kasurpur. The city spreads on 4,500 acres area.
