The action is going to be held against many government and other departments who have not paid water bills. The Co-operative housing schemes, water companies, health, education, defence and other government departments are targeted for this reason.
The number of bills is very high and in Lahore, a strict policy has been formed out for this issue. WASA and other authorities will collect dues by applying many methodologies and rules. Very large amounts of water bills are yet unpaid by the government and other institutions.
According to the current information the WAPDA owe WASA almost 40.9 Million, the service stations owe it Rs. 6,777,950, Co-operative housing societies owe it Rs.53,268,000. Rs.45,591,030 is also unpaid by other government departments.
These are collectively a very large amount which is pending and delayed for so long. But now the WASA has shown the sign of NO MORE DELAYS to all of them. pakistan is facing a serious water crisis for so many time. It is important to recover all these huge bills.
A specific time is given to them in which they have to pay all the bills. The carelessness and more delays will lead to strict results. All the water connections will be cut off on an immediate basis to those government departments who will not follow the policy.
This policy and some other plans are also being set by WASA which will help to resolve the financial crisis in this sector at large level.
