Now the caretaker CM issued the orders to release the funds for the renovation of the Gawalmandi Food Street, this decision shows his attitude towards the development of the historical city Lahore. The Gawalmandi Food Street is a Historical and Traditional Place which reflects the old civilization. This area is surrounded by the old buildings constructed centuries ago. The famous buildings around the Food Street are Mayo Hospital, Baansan-wala Bazar and Landa Bazar of Lahore.
This area of Food Street remains open for the traffic whole day, but as the time of evening starts and sun sets, the Food Place is closed for the vehicles and is opened for the visitors so that they can have their meals and can come over their hunger by getting the traditional foods of Lahore. That’s why this place attracts the people all over the country and is marked as the tourist point.
Now the caretaker CM of Punjab Najam Sethi showed his interest and ordered to the concerned department for the release of funds so that this ancient and historical point will be decorated and to bring this Food Point in to more attractive place.
